How to pass output from a step to the input of another?

Hi all,

using the SOAP adapter, I can call a service and verify the response with the XmlValidator Step.

However, I want to take that response, change a few values (perhaps with xpaths) and then resubmit it to the service.

Is this possible? How would I go about doing it?

Many thanks!

Hi TM,

there isnt anything specific about BizUnit in this requirement as far as i can see .

If you are storing the response on disk prior to validating with the xmlvalidator, then what i would do is write a small helper class to modify the response and take the disk file name and any xpath expressions as parameters and then call this class using dotnetobjectinvoker. after that i would resubmit the file to the webservice in the same way as i originally did .

You could also put the xpath expressions in config and then read them in the helper , just passing in the config keys from BizUnit to the dotnetobject invoker.
